A Revealing Sneak Peek

Here are my new babies! Finally had the right weather to shoot my lovely new batch of bags. The only pictures that I am not putting here (yet) are well, the bags' solo shots. So this pretty much reveals everything - the colors, the form, and the photography skillz that I am yet to learn. haha!

I'm so happy that I'll be able to release these at GhoentJunior this July! Please watch out for them! (I use "them" because I still haven't named this design; it's a complicated process if you look through my albums lol) Still no price though, the batch is not yet done. I only made a handful so please start saving up to get your hands on them as soon as they are released! =)

On to the not so great news, I don't think I'll be able to release my 2 other designs this July. Ze bagmaker is busy with his work (and I totally understand that), so I don't think I'll be able to join the bazaar I was planning to attend next month.  That's ok though, I'll probably have my chance next time. =)

That's it! Hope you like the bags! <3

Hair Shizz

I have never, ever used a curling iron before. Ever. I don't know what that makes me.  .   . maybe a conservative? A l-o-s-e-r? I've been too comfortable with my straight (ahem, it's not purrfect but I'm happy with it) hair that I usually just comb a few strokes and rush for whatever destination I am up for next. And the only time I sported curls was during my high school graduation --- when which rollers were enough. I know ok that was ages ago. =))

To cut the long story short, mother gave in to the Buy1BuySecondat1peso deals of Watsons. HAHA. Seeing the 3in1 Hair Set under that deal was too irresistible for her that even I couldn't stop what I think was an impulse buy. Soooo, *kaching!* there goes 1000 pesos.
999pesos for 1 box, 1peso for the second.

But I am not complaining. In fact, as soon as we got home, sister and I played with it like a new toy. Hahaha! Let's see what we have here! =))
I have no idea how to exactly use the brush-like stick (stick?!) so sister and I used the plain one for the body of our hair, and the one with the treads for curling the ends.

Anywhoo, the results:
Not bad, I guess? I kept on running my hand through the curls because I wanted the out-of-bed-my-hair-is-a-mess! look. Hahaha! I have thick hair so I don't think I'll be using this often. Having waves gives me even more volume, which I already have plenty of. Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Hohoho.

Doing this however made me realize that I have overly long bangs (look at those pictures!), so used again my ever favorite hair thinning/trimmer scissors that I bought about a year ago.
Reaaaally convenient, plus it let's me experiment with the length of my bangs. This is a good investment that every girl should have, if you're looking for some unsolicited advise.
A LOT of hair chopped off. HAHA! My curls were already gone by this time since didn't apply any staying cream (whazdatcalled?).

Will end this post with a cute shirt that was a freebie at Watsons. I think it's for buying some toner and facial wash? I guess so!
Haha this made me smile. =P

For the pros (and not so pros) out there, any tips on how to use the curlers better? =)

Independent Day

Happy Independence Day everyone! =)

My favorite subject to date is PI 100, a Rizal course i took last year under Sir Leoncio Co. Taking the subject under Sir Co was an adventure. He told stories and answered impromptu questions as if he lived history. He changed my outlook on our country's past and present situation, and he has also helped us students appreciate Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo at a whole new level. No field trips for our class but hearing him talk about history was very much the same thing, if not even better as I would put it as time travel.

Mulled over the thought of putting up a fan page for Sir Co. Lol. I was that much of a fan. Haha! Didn't though, nahiya naman ako. =P

In other news, yesterday was spent with sister at Trinoma and SM North. When Aisa Ipac tweeted about Jellybean's 50% OFF everything sale, I just had to check it out. You see, the first time I saw these shoes in Aisa's Jellybean post, I couldn't take my eyes off them! They were so.. full of angst. I don't normally wear these kinds of shoes but at 50% off?! I'll find a way to wear them out eventually. Might not be anytime soon but whatever, at least it's there when I need want it!<3
Can't wait to actually wear them out! =)

P.S. Super sad (and a bit irritated) when I saw Filipinos on TV who don't freaking know our National Anthem. Utang na loob, memorize it! It's not funny that you don't know the lyrics of Lupang Hinirang. And it's really not funny either when people don't stop and drop what they're doing when the anthem plays in the mall. Or even during seminar openings etc. Tsk. I have a lot of issues with Filipinos' civil disobedience (or in this case, lack of self-respect) but I won't talk about it now (or here). So I'll just leave you guys with a fun song for tonight's LSS! Enjoy! =)
Lupang Hinirang
Bayang Magiliw
Perlas ng Silanganan,
Alab ng puso
Sa dibdib mo’y buhay.
Lupang hinirang,
Duyan ka ng magiting,
Sa manlulupig,
‘Di ka pasisiil.
Sa dagat at bundok,
Sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw,
May dilag ang tula at awit
Sa paglayang minamahal.
Ang kislap ng watawat mo’y
Tagumpay na nagniningning,
Ang bituin at araw niya
Kailan pa ma’y ‘di magdidilim.
Lupa ng araw, ng luwalhati’t pagsinta,
Buhay ay langit sa piling mo;
Aming ligaya, na ‘pag may mang-aapi
Ang mamatay nang dahil sa ‘yo.
Happy Independence Day Pilipinas! Freedom in itself has a lot of deeper definitions, but for know, at least let's memorize the song right? =)

Bizzeh Bizzeh

What's been keeping me busy? Thinking, brainstorming, looking for inspirations, and squeezing my creative juices. Am cooking up a new batch of bags to be released this July *crosses fingers* over at GhoentJunior. I already have one on the works, my bag maker has been kind enough to do this batch even if he (yezz, he!) already has a fulltime job. Thank you, kuya. Bless you!

A sneak peak on how that bag looks like:

Oh wtheck. I already uploaded a photo of me using it in this post. HAHA. Here:

You can't see it perfectly in that picture though, but it has a few interesting details! The kiss lock I used is just purrrrrrretteh! Will come in three colors, that gray one, being one of them.

You know I love ribbons and polkadots, as seen in this wedding outfit I wore in Bess' wedding.

One outfit = 3 ribbons! Overkill? HAHA. Well after having polkadots all over my previous collections, big bows then became the center of this design.

I have a couple more designs but I don't know if kuya can still accomodate my orders. I don't want to move on to another bagmaker cause he's just so easy to work with! And the aggressive in me is sort of pressuring him to accept my additional requests since I'm planning to join my very first bazaar this July. It's a different step once actual stalls and bazaars are there so I was hoping to have different items up for sale. Anyhoo, let us all together hope that kuya bends into my convincing powers. Ito lang ang pagkakataon ko eh, habang bum pa! Muhahahaha *evil laugh*.   .    .    . Uy di naman, bait ko nga eh. =P If he doesn't though, I will be heartbroken for quite a while. =(

What do you think of the bag? And do you have some bagmakers list up your sleeve? Please roll them down and share. Heeeheee. =P
