Hair Shizz

I have never, ever used a curling iron before. Ever. I don't know what that makes me.  .   . maybe a conservative? A l-o-s-e-r? I've been too comfortable with my straight (ahem, it's not purrfect but I'm happy with it) hair that I usually just comb a few strokes and rush for whatever destination I am up for next. And the only time I sported curls was during my high school graduation --- when which rollers were enough. I know ok that was ages ago. =))

To cut the long story short, mother gave in to the Buy1BuySecondat1peso deals of Watsons. HAHA. Seeing the 3in1 Hair Set under that deal was too irresistible for her that even I couldn't stop what I think was an impulse buy. Soooo, *kaching!* there goes 1000 pesos.
999pesos for 1 box, 1peso for the second.

But I am not complaining. In fact, as soon as we got home, sister and I played with it like a new toy. Hahaha! Let's see what we have here! =))
I have no idea how to exactly use the brush-like stick (stick?!) so sister and I used the plain one for the body of our hair, and the one with the treads for curling the ends.

Anywhoo, the results:
Not bad, I guess? I kept on running my hand through the curls because I wanted the out-of-bed-my-hair-is-a-mess! look. Hahaha! I have thick hair so I don't think I'll be using this often. Having waves gives me even more volume, which I already have plenty of. Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Hohoho.

Doing this however made me realize that I have overly long bangs (look at those pictures!), so used again my ever favorite hair thinning/trimmer scissors that I bought about a year ago.
Reaaaally convenient, plus it let's me experiment with the length of my bangs. This is a good investment that every girl should have, if you're looking for some unsolicited advise.
A LOT of hair chopped off. HAHA! My curls were already gone by this time since didn't apply any staying cream (whazdatcalled?).

Will end this post with a cute shirt that was a freebie at Watsons. I think it's for buying some toner and facial wash? I guess so!
Haha this made me smile. =P

For the pros (and not so pros) out there, any tips on how to use the curlers better? =)

Happy birthday Jose Rizal!
Happy Birthday Dirk Nowitzki!

I think you have nice hair, Ghoent! Considering na suklay lang ang ginagawa mo sa kanya! Haha. The waves, I agree, they're not bad! I think I like your straight hair better but the waves would be good once in a while when you're bored with your straight hair. :))

I'll go look for those scissors. Haha. I've been trimming my bangs with paper scissors ever since //FAIL haha

Thank you Claire! :D Your right, I'll probably go for curls only when I'm bored and have plenty of time in my hands! =)) I like my hair straight too. =P

Bought the scissors at Watsons also! I think I saw another version at HBC, with a cheaper price tag (although I'm not sure if it's steel like that of Watsons'). =)

Hello Eden!

I have to agree! The straightening device is sorta useless. It tames some strands I guess, but it doesn't straighten the hair! haha!

You have a really interesting blog! And so fashyown at that. Followed! =)

Thanks for dropping by! =)

I like the curls! I have really straight hair too and I've pretty much give up curling it as it never lasts either... maybe if I doused it in hairspray but I am too lazy. heh.
